This unforgettable 4-hour Maui snorkeling tour takes you to two of Hawaii’s most treasured snorkeling locations – Molokini Crater and Turtle Town.
Immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters of Molokini Crater, home to hundreds of vibrant fish species, starfish, rays, and more. Our knowledgeable crew will provide a safety briefing and assist with fitting your snorkeling gear, ensuring your comfort throughout the journey. Flotation devices are also available to enhance your swimming experience.
Next, journey to Turtle Town, where you’ll encounter Hawaii’s magnificent green sea turtles (Honu) alongside reef triggerfish, butterfly fish, octopus, and other captivating marine life. Every trip is unique, guaranteeing a one-of-a-kind adventure for you and your loved ones.
*Check-in is at 6:30 a.m. and the boat leaves at 7:00 a.m. (firm).

- Snorkeler (5+ years old)
- Non-swimmers are restricted to the boat.
- Pregnant women are prohibited.
- Participants must be capable of moderate-to-advanced physical activity.
- Persons with recent surgical procedures are prohibited.
- Cannot book individuals with chronic, serious existing back or neck conditions.
- Guests must be able to climb a vertical boat ladder.
- No unaccompanied minors below the age of 15 and no legal minors 17 years of age or younger without legal guardian-signed waivers.

Check-In:
- Two free parking lots are available at the Kihei Boat Ramp.
- Check-in at 6:30 a.m. at the Kihei Boat Ramp, located at 2800 S Kihei Rd, Kihei, HI 96753. Look for the “The Getaway,” a red-colored 40-ft raft boat.
- Please note that there are multiple charter companies and similar-looking boats in the area, so make sure you come to The Getaway.
- All guests must sign and complete the liability waiver before boarding.
- Proceed to the dock and board the boat when your group is called.
- The boat departs promptly at 7:00 a.m. (no exceptions), so please plan accordingly for parking and traffic delays.
En Route:
- Captain’s safety briefing.
- 20-minute trip to Molokini Crater (weather permitting).
- On the way to your snorkeling spot, our crew prepares and adjusts your gear, making sure it fits correctly and you are comfortable
- Spend 1 hour or more at the first location, where you can snorkel, relax, and marvel at the beauty of Maui’s waters.
- Enjoy our complimentary snack and beverage service.
- Proceed to the second location for another hour of snorkeling and relaxation.
- Enjoy our complimentary sandwiches (vegetarian option available), chips, granola bars, Hawaiian-made juices, and ice-cold water.
- Return trip to Kihei Boat Ramp.

What a wonderful experience with an amazing crew. Brandon and Jess were full of knowledge and Aloha spirit. The locations they took us to were fantastic. We got to swim with an array of fish and saw SEVERAL turtles. The hospitality was great with snacks, juice, water, and sandwiches. I was so surprised on how crystal clear the water was. A+ overall! Had an AMAZING Molokini Crater and Turtle Cove snorkeling tour. The perfect weather added to the enjoyment but the 2 locations make for great snorkeling. Loved our experience snorkeling with Makena Coast Charters. Our crew (Joe and Jess) especially were incredible and made our experience that much more amazing. It was great to get out into the water with a smaller group, allowing us more space and time to enjoy the marine life. Joe and Jess did a great job paying attention to the weather and waves and shifting our plans so that we would hit the spots with at the best times for snorkeling and were great at ensuring we saw some whales (which I personally wasn't even expecting). Plus they were just so much fun! Would highly recommend.

Our tour today to Turtle Town and Molokini Crater was excellent. Captain Brandon and Jess made the trip fun, educational, and exciting. Captain Brandon is an experienced captain who ensures the safety of all aboard. Jess is a marine biologist who shared her knowledge of sea turtles and the beautiful fish. We saw lots of sea turtles!! The Molokini Crater provided us the opportunity to see many beautiful fish. Jess never tired of our questions and answered them all. Captain Brandon and Jess are professionals and are very hospitable. Both gave us a sense of Maui history. Best snorkel trip ever!!

We did a snorkeling adventure to Turtle Town and Molokini Crater! This was probably our favorite excursion of our trip so far with the amazing snorkeling.
